BE-3067 N. maxima ‘Lumut’ – best selected clone
Nepenthes maxima is a highly variable and vigorous species from Sulawesi and New Guinea.
This should be by far the most spectacular form of the species in cultivation anywhere, with the possible exception of the wavy-leafed forms – which have novelty value, but none have pitchers like this. Red-striped pitchers compliment a beautiful glossy red and burgundy peristome.
It also has a very pronounced spur at the end of the lids, as one of the photos shows.
It’s very fast and easy to grow, making it a most rewarding plant for growers of all abilities!
First introduced to cultivation in 2003.
Horticulturally bred by Borneo Exotics.
Selection from a single clone microprop.
Plants shipped are of the same clone as shown in these photos.
