BE-3026 N. bellii – best selected clone
Nepenthes bellii is perhaps the smallest species in the genus and has pitchers that mimic the appearance of those of the giant N. merrilliana in form, but at a tiny fraction of their size. The diminutive growth habit of the plant makes it great for compact spaces, such as terrariums.
First introduced around 2005, after BE lowland nurseries closed in 2012 it became unavailable as nursery-grown plants for almost 10 years, and came to the online shop for the first time in Jan 2022.
Although a close relative to the giant N. merrilliana, this is a diminutive species. This clone was selected for its orange and red pitcher colouration with contrasting lime-green peristome.
